Celosia is a plant that does not like wet soil and moderately needs watering. Water heavily when the top inch of soil is dry to allow the surplus water to soak into the soil. Celosia becomes relatively drought-resistant once it grows, although steady water helps it to flower more. Excessive watering is likely to cause fungal infections and poor roots. In cases of very hot and dry seasons, watering a little more should also be done but the air should be well circulated in the plant.
