Hyssop flower prefers to be in full sun and it should get not less than six to eight hours of sunlight per day. It thrives in well-drained and slightly alkaline soil. Sandy or loamy soil is also suitable because the roots may be destroyed because of excessive wetness. Hyssop is also drought-tolerant when it has been established and can grow in warm and dry climates, hence it is applicable in herb gardens, borders, and in containers.
