Official American Cornhole Organization (ACO) rules state that the distance between Cornhole boards must be 27 feet, starting at the front of one side of the board up to the front of the other side of the board. This is the distance that is applied in a tournament or competition. The boards may be positioned closer together, say 20 to 24 feet apart, when youths are to play, or when the board is a beginner, to render the game easy and pleasing to all.
